It's A Drink! It's A Bomb! - Siu Lek Yuen Playground

The finale of the film takes place on a bit of wasteland, where a fair is being held. This would later be developed in to a playground and sports area.

It's A Drink! It's A Bomb! - Mei Wo Circuit

So, after deciding to flee from Eddy Ko and Elvis Tsui, Dick Liu runs off and all of a sudden, he's in the hills above Sha Tin, being shot and rolling down a slope. Since this was filmed, the houses which grace Mei Wo Circuit have been built.

It's A Drink! It's A Bomb! - Corner of Siu Lek Yeun Road and Yuen Hong Street

This is where Frankie Chan, John Shum and Maggie Cheung get the message that Eddy Ko is a nasty man...

It's A Drink! It's A Bomb! - Bokhara Battery

This former battery location, adjacent to the Cape D'Aguilar Cable Landing Station (one of the places where a 7516 km submarine cable that stretches from Japan to Singapore emerges)is where Lau Kong and Dick Liu show their exploding can to Eddy Ko and Elvis Tsui. There isn't a Street View or a good pic on Panoramio, so you'll just have to take my word for it...

Thank's to Phil from the wonderful Hong Kong (& Macau) Stuff / Hong Kong (& Macau) Film Stuff blogs for the spotting help.

It's A Drink! It's A Bomb! - Sha Tin Cycle Path

The stretch of cycle path which runs along the Shing Mun river in Sha Tin, just in front of where Sha Tin Sports Ground is now, is where Frankie Chan, Maggie Cheung and John Shum are all hanging out during the opening credits.

The path itself isn't covered on Street View, although it is pretty easy to work out where they all are, given the views across the river (to Yuen Cha Kok Park (the hill which is now slightly obscured by Belair Gardens) and down to the bridges (Banyan Bridge and Sha Tin Road; the former being where the Street View image is taken from).

Royal Warriors - Swire Institute of Marine Science

Well, the derelict building has gone and been placed with a rather fancy research facility. (Panoramio pic thanks to Android101.)

Thanks to Phil from the Hong Kong (& Macau) Stuff / Hong Kong (& Macau) Film Stuff blogs, for the spotting.

Royal Warriors - Ka Wing Street

So, the Fullhouse Theatre and Hua Chaio Banks have both gone and you you can't see the hillside any more, but it's still recognisable as the street where Sanada Hiroyuki leaps from his car, on to Lam Wai's pick-up...

Thanks to Phil from the Hong Kong (& Macau) Stuff / Hong Kong (& Macau) Film Stuff blogs, for the spotting.

Royal Warriors - Flagstaff House

Flagstaff House; the Museum of Tea Ware in Hong Kong Park, as it is these days. Here, I think it is meant to be the Japanese Embassy, where Sanada Hiroyuki is being held. There isn't a Street view in the park, but this Picasa image does the job nicely (thanks to Zuzana Klimplova).

Royal Warriors - Energy Plaza

Where Pai Ying goes, with the hostage Michael Wong, attempting to lure Michelle Yeoh to her death...

Royal Warriors - New Europe-North Laundry Shop

Well, the florist that Michael Wong frequents has been replaced by this laundrette, the video rental shop is vacant and the flower stall has been replaced by a mini-electronics repair stall.

Royal Warriors - California Tower

The California Tower on he corner of Lan Kwai Fong and D'Aguilar Street, once home to the California nightclub, where Sanada Hiroyuki arranges to meet Michelle Yeoh and Michael Wong, only for Lam Wai to turn up and cause more bother.

The Street View is taken from just in front of Lam Wai's car on D'Aguilar Street, as Lan Kwai Fong isn't on Street View.

Royal Warriors - Yuen Shun Circle

So, another location from the Sanada Hiroyuki and Lam Wai chase, which has zig-zagged back across to Sha Tin. This is the street where Blacky Ko pilots a bus over a pile-up of cars, heading along towards the Chiaphua Centre, which is the blue building in the screen cap. You'll notice that, not only has it changed colour and been developed, but the rest of the area has undergone a pretty significant transformation in the past twenty-five years.

Royal Warriors - College Road

Another spot from the chase, where Sanada Hiroyuki and Lam Wai fly round a corner in Fo Tan and end up a couple of miles away in Kowloon Tong.

Royal Warriors - Mecco Industrial Building

This building features in the car chase between Sanada Hiroyuki and Lam Wai. Just prior to the cap below, was the shot of Sanada jumping his BMW from the land that was at the side of the building, before Sui Wo Road was extended.

Royal Warriors - Jumbo Floating Restaurant

Where Sanada Hiroyuki and Niwa Reiko go for dinner, until Michelle Yeoh ruins their evening by bringing Michael Wong along...

(Panoramio pic thanks to Stewart Walker.)

Royal Warriors - Hill Road

Well, like I said, I accidentally stumbled across the location of the 'Double Fattiness' pizza shop when I was looking for a 'Royal Warriors' location. So, this was the location. And, sadly, it's gone. Well, the road hasn't gone, but the building that Lam Wai's apartment in has been knocked down. Still, nice view up to the roof of the Hung Hing Ying Building, of the University of Hong Kong...
