Portland Street Blues - Kwong Wing Building

The building that Sandra Ng's apartment is located.

Thanks to Andreas (andi81 - who has an excellent locations thread in the German Shaw Brothers Reloaded Forum) for the spot on this one.

Portland Street Blues - Mong Kok East, Argyle Street Crossing Bridge

Yep, as you can probably guess, I'm not sure what this walkway is called, but I must've made my way across it dozens and dozens of times; either making my way to or from Mong Kok, via the East Rail Line and Mong Kok East Station. Here, Sandra Ng and Alex Fong are having a little catch up, after his return from Malaysia.

Portland Street Blues - Tern Plaza

Well, when Sandra Ng went for a bit to eat with Kristy Yeung, it was Lin Ke Hotpot Restaurant, but that has closed and I'm not sure what is there now.

Portland Street Blues - Portland Street

Well, it had to happen... Any how, it's been really tricky placing a lot of the locations around Mong Kok, as the shots are all pretty tight and the only clues to locations are neon signs, many of which have long since vanished. Still, this is the shot they use when they are trying to suggest we're outside Sandra Ng's apartment, at the junction with Soy Street. Still, I don't think this is where her apartment is: check the 'Help Me!!!' page for shots of that location.

Portland Street Blues - Hoi Fai Road

Now, as far as I can tell, Hoi Fai Road runs along the waterfront of Tai Kok Tsui and goes over some reclaimed land. Now, the spot where Sandra Ng goes to thank Alex Fong, as he heads off into hiding is just a bit further along from the spot I've marked, which Street View doesn't quite cover. Still, you can see the same cranes, breakwater walls and the topography of Hong Kong Island is a match too.

This area, next to the roundabout, is also where the Tai Kok Tsui Ferry Pier and Bus Terminus used to be, but this has since been replaced with the HSBC Centre. This spot is used for the confrontation between Sandra Ng and Kam Hing-Yin, later in the movie.

Portland Street Blues - Yau Ma Tei Police Station

Where Shu Qi is unceremoniously dumped by Jimmy Wong.

Portland Street Blues - Tsing Ma Bridge

Well, technically, it's the little piece of land underneath the bridge by the water, at the end of Sai Tso Wah Road, but it's close enough. A nice spot for Sandra Ng to sleep off a very large brandy and for Vincent Wan to smoke some cigarettes and look pensive.

Street View only goes so far along Sai Tso Wah Road, but there's a Panoramio pic which is taken from almost the exact same spot (thanks to 阿东).

Portland Street Blues - Kowloon Wholesale Fruit Market

After the opening scene in the nightclub, Sandra Ng and her girls walk along Shek Lung Street, through the Kowloon Wholesale Fruit Market, stopping at the junction with Reclamation Street, before one of them is outed as a traitor.

I tried to grab a shot of the Fruit Market side of the street, which was still recognisable, but the only thing to tie it in was the No Entry sign, which seems to have been getting absorbed into the buildings...
